Unless you’ve been living in a cave or simply haven’t paid attention for the last couple of years, Instagram has become one of the most popular forms of social media in the world.
This is especially true when it comes to our wonderful world of fitness.
Bodybuilders, fitness athletes, models, executives with supplement companies, and anyone else who wants to reach the masses will do so by sharing either still photos of their best body part or a short training clip.
Instagram has become a great way to inform and inspire followers and grow your brand.
Although many people do great things on their IG accounts, we wanted to show some respect to these ten accounts (in no particular order) because they take it to a new level.
If you have an account, make sure you follow them now because they are well worth it and will bombard your feed with inspiration and awesomeness.
Who isn’t a fan of The Rock? Whether you’re anticipating one of his upcoming movies, one of his longtime fans from his wrestling days, or want to learn as much as you can about how he trains, “The Great One” posts pics and videos that are sure to entertain, inspire, or both.
He also shares moments that he has with fans or kids that are struggling and look to him as a source of strength. There’s a good chance you’re already one of his 57 million plus followers but if you’re not already, get on it.
It doesn’t matter who holds what title or who is popular at the moment, Arnold is by far the number one man in the bodybuilding and fitness industry. Even in his late 60s, Arnold is still training and sharing tips that have helped him and can help you.
He also shows his funnier side at times. He’ll even share classic pics from his competitive days occasionally. He’s been inspiring generations of people to train and get in shape and now in 2016 he does it via his IG account.
As a former powerlifting champion, Natural Mr. Universe, and American Gladiator, Mike O’Hearn has three decades of experience in the fitness world and over 500 magazine covers that serve as a timeline. Nowadays he inspires his fans with cool photos, brief training clips of him and his friends lifting in Gold’s Venice, and of course his dogs that he takes with him everywhere he goes.
His 508 thousand followers are loyal to him and his Power Bodybuilding program which you can see in the comments of all of his posts.
This is a pretty cool account. Musclevideos share clips from other people’s accounts that include some awesome lifts, great physiques, and fun loving people in fitness that can inspire beginners and advanced lifters alike. They include posts from men, women, younger, and older athletes.
They don’t just focus on bodybuilding either. There are clips from CrossFit, competitive athletes, amateurs, and even people who just are in incredible shape. They’re currently at close to 45,000 followers but that number is sure to go up thanks to clips like the one below. Go ahead, open another tab and look it up. Worth it.
If you haven’t heard of “That 1 Legged Monster”, make it a point to check this guy out. His name is KC Mitchell. He’s a combat veteran that lost a leg while in action. Instead of letting it control his life, he made it a goal to turn it into positives. He has in spades via training and serving as a motivational speaker.
When I say training, I don’t mean he only trains upper body. He squats and pulls…a lot. The dude is a straight up bad a** that has over 75,000 followers constantly inspired to do and be better.
She lifts, she is a bikini pro athlete, refers to herself as a “Professional American”, has a sense of humor, and can throw one of the best spirals you’ve ever seen. Do I have your attention yet? All of those descriptions refer to Callie Bundy.
With qualities like that, it should be easy to see why her 243,000 followers are so loyal to her. She inspires people both male and female with her passion for fitness and occasionally will show off her quarterback skills by throwing a football to a receiver or deep target and it will have a perfect spiral every time. Those all have to be first takes, right?
Branch Warren has been one of the most popular bodybuilders in the past decade and it’s obvious why. He has a blue collar work ethic and doesn’t mince words when he speaks. That dedication has resulted in two Arnold Classic titles and a runner up spot at the 2009 Olympia.
His training style is hardcore, heavy, and will make you want to go lift some heavy weights. No, his form might not be textbook but can you really argue with his results? He’s big, strong, has won several titles, and has 478,000 followers that support him at all times. Oh yeah, occasionally he shares some hunting and shooting posts which are pretty cool too.
This is one for you classic bodybuilding fans from the Golden Era. Robby Robinson is most famous for his part in Pumping Iron and for being one of the top bodybuilders in the world for several years. He never gave up that lifestyle and you can see images and videos from the old days and now on his account.
He’s in great shape and ripped even now and he just turned 70! That is not a typo. 7-0. You’ll wish you were as ripped and jacked as the Black Prince of Bodybuilding. His words and images can inspire anyone at any age.
No social media list is a valid one unless it includes DLB! The inaugural Women’s Physique Olympia champ has become one of the most influential people in fitness not only now but maybe ever. People love to see her train. Fans follow her and her brands very passionately.
Her 1.6 million followers speak loud and proud about their support for Day Day Knucks. Her IG gives you a peek into her and husband Rob’s lives as they train, do business, hang out, and have fun.
